The order picking and customer service process in the expedition area of home centers presents high operational variability, resulting in delays in meeting internal service targets and directly affecting customer experience. Factors such as total load weight, number of items, delivery type, and operator productivity contribute to fluctuations in separation and service times, making it difficult to efficiently control operational flow. In this context, it becomes necessary to quantitatively understand the factors that influence delays and propose data-driven improvements. This Final Term Paper aims to analyze the separation and service process in the expedition area, identifying operational bottlenecks and proposing solutions through statistical analysis and Artificial Intelligence techniques. A realistically structured fictitious database containing 3,000 simulated records was developed according to the company’s operational rules. Descriptive statistical analyses were conducted to identify patterns, variability, and compliance with internal service targets. Additionally, supervised classification models, such as Decision Tree and Random Forest, were applied to predict service delays. The results showed that approximately 40% of orders exceeded the established service-time targets. Feature importance analysis indicated that total weight, operator productivity, and number of items are the main factors associated with delays. The study concludes that integrating process engineering, statistics, and Artificial Intelligence is an effective approach to support logistics optimization and improve operational decision-making.

<description>Ionizador solar alternativo para tratamento de água de piscina
The solar ionizer represents an alternative and sustainable approach to swimming pool&#13;
water treatment, as it seeks to reduce dependence on chlorine while minimizing&#13;
environmental and health-related impacts. The objective of this study was to develop&#13;
and evaluate the effectiveness of an alternative solar ionizer prototype for swimming&#13;
pool water treatment in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. This research is aligned&#13;
with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda&#13;
for Sustainable Development, proposing a low environmental impact technology&#13;
capable of reducing the formation of harmful disinfection by-products such as&#13;
Trihalomethanes (THMs), which may pose risks to human health. The study was based&#13;
on a comprehensive literature review of water disinfection systems, including the&#13;
analysis of existing models and patents of solar ionizers in order to support the&#13;
development of the proposed system. A functional prototype was then constructed in&#13;
Recife using copper bars to release antimicrobial ions, powered by a 12-volt solar&#13;
panel. The validation process involved installing the prototype in an experimental&#13;
swimming pool located on Rua Guapé, nº 187, in the Zumbi neighborhood of Recife.&#13;
During this stage, physicochemical and microbiological parameters were monitored&#13;
and compared with the results obtained through conventional chlorination methods, in&#13;
accordance with the ABNT NBR 10818:2016. The results demonstrated the&#13;
effectiveness of the solar ionizer in maintaining water quality, a significant reduction in&#13;
chlorine consumption, and a favorable cost-benefit relationship. These findings&#13;
indicate that the proposed technology represents an environmentally sustainable and&#13;
economically viable alternative for swimming pool water management.

Organizations in the construction sector, in the face of an increasingly competitive and complex environment, need to continuously improve their procurement processes for materials and services in order to ensure technical quality, compliance with deadlines, and financial sustainability. In this context, the purchasing department has ceased to be understood merely as an operational function and has come to assume a strategic role in supply chain management, directly influencing the productive and economic performance of projects.The present study analyzes the relationship between the efficiency of the purchasing department in the construction industry and the final quality of the products delivered, as well as the impacts of its practices on schedule compliance and organizational profitability, from a systemic perspective of logistics and supply processes, from the viewpoint of professionals working in the field. To this end, an exploratory, descriptive, and applied research study was conducted, using a qualitative-quantitative approach, based on the application of a structured questionnaire via Google Forms to employees of the purchasing department of a company operating in the construction sector.The data analysis made it possible to identify the main bottlenecks and control limitations in the purchasing process, such as communication failures between departments, lack of standardized procedures, weaknesses in deadline monitoring, and the absence of integrated management systems. Furthermore, the relevance of the purchasing professional in decision-making processes that ensure technical compliance and the performance of materials used in construction projects was highlighted, as well as the importance of properly defining delivery deadlines to maintain the continuity of the production flow and compliance with the physical schedule.The results also demonstrated that inadequate purchasing practices tend to increase project costs, whereas structured processes, strategic planning, and integration between purchasing, logistics, and planning contribute to greater operational and financial efficiency. It is concluded that the structuring of purchasing systems and their articulation with on-site logistics are determining factors for the quality of projects, the reduction of waste and rework, and the economic sustainability of organizations in the sector.

The scarcity of basic sanitation infrastructure in urban centers results in severe envi&#13;
ronmental degradation and public health problems. In Recife, a significant portion of &#13;
domestic sewage is discharged untreated into water bodies, as occurs in the Cavouco &#13;
Stream, a tributary of the Capibaribe River. Given the high cost of implementation (CA&#13;
PEX) and operation (OPEX) of conventional systems, this work is based on Water&#13;
Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) to propose and evaluate the technical feasibility of a &#13;
Vertical Subsurface Flow (VSF) Constructed Wetland phytoremediation system in Cai&#13;
ara Park. Based on primary data, an influent flow of 69.120 m³/day and Biochemical &#13;
Oxygen Demand (BOD) concentrations incompatible with Class II waters were found. &#13;
Theoretical sizing indicated the need for 89.096 m² of filter bed for the complete trea&#13;
tment of the flow. However, the topographic survey revealed a usable area of 18,000 &#13;
m², making the integral model unfeasible and justifying the adoption of a bypass sys&#13;
tem capable of treating 14% of the flow (9.775 m³/day). When comparing this prelimi&#13;
nary design with the actual pilot project executed on site, it was observed that the &#13;
engineering adopted an even more conservative hydraulic load (432 m³/day) to gua&#13;
rantee purification efficiency in the face of the high pollutant load. It is concluded that &#13;
the system is topographically and hydraulically viable, harmonizing sanitation infras&#13;
tructure, landscaping, and low operational cost.
