<description>Os desafios da integração do ODS 9 da Agenda 2030 na gestão ambiental das indústrias de grande porte da Região Metropolitana do Recife, Pernambuco - Brasil
Discourses on industrial production demand the incorporation of practices that promote environmental issues, which leads to the recognition of industries as potential consumers of natural resources and generators of waste. Thus, a management model that balances manufacturing production with sustainability is essential, in line with the UN's 2030 Agenda (2015), specifically SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The aim of this research is to assess the integration and performance of the policies, programs, projects and actions adopted in the environmental management strategies of large-scale industries in the Metropolitan Region of Recife (RMR), in relation to SDG 9. The conceptual structuring followed a bibliographic and documentary survey. The criteria used to define large industries followed parameters set by Sebrae and IBGE, considering the number of employees, active status in the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) and classification of industrial activity according to the CNAE. Based on simple stratified random sampling, a target population of 231 industries was identified, 13 of which were selected for analysis. The primary data was collected on the digital platforms of the 13 industries and organized by a Checklist, drawn up based on the five steps of the Sustainable Development Goals Compass (SDG, 2023) and the three guiding axes of SDG 9 (IPEA, 2023): (1) Resilient infrastructure, (2) Inclusive and sustainable industrialization and (3) Fostering innovation. The answers to the questions on the Checklist were classified according to the Likert Scale (0 - does not meet; 2 - partially meets; 4 - meets), and then analyzed using the Traffic Light method, in which performance was categorized as red (does not meet), yellow (partially meets) and green (meets). The results pointed to worrying gaps in industries' commitment to resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrialization and innovation. Targets 9.1 (quality, resilient and sustainable infrastructure), 9.2 (inclusive and sustainable industrialization), 9.4 (industrial modernization and sustainability) and 9.5 (strengthening innovation and scientific research) stand out as being the most integrated with environmental management strategies, with Petrobras, Refrescos Guararapes, Cervejaria Petrópolis and White Martins standing out as demonstrating a strong commitment to modernizing their operations through sustainable and low-carbon technologies. Target 9.b (promoting innovative industrial technologies through research and development) was partially addressed by these companies. However, targets 9.3 (access to financial services and markets for small businesses) and 9.c (universal access to the internet) were the least addressed, highlighting the need to expand the activities of industries in all dimensions of SDG 9. In the RMR, 69.2% of industries are at the “Meets” level of the Likert Scale, showing that the majority of large industries in the region are aligned with the resilient infrastructure targets of SDG 9, especially in the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency and modernization of industrial processes. Finally, the results were consolidated in the SDG 9 Implementation Incentive Manual, which presents guidelines for incorporating environmental management actions in line with the 2030 Agenda, reinforcing the need for a broader local commitment to sustainability

<description>Uso de sistema de informações geográficas no monitoramento de conflito da rede elétrica com a vegetação no campus Dois Irmãos da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco, Recife, Pernambuco
The relationship between urban trees and the power grid has always been a source of&#13;
disagreement between environmentalists and power companies. This is because one of the&#13;
main causes of power outages is the conflict between the grid and vegetation. To ensure a&#13;
quality power supply to the population and meet the collective continuity indicators, DEC&#13;
(Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit) and FEC (Equivalent Frequency of&#13;
Interruption per Consumer Unit), established by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency),&#13;
power companies seek tools to manage the relationship between trees and the grid without&#13;
causing environmental damage. In this context, the objective of this work is to develop a&#13;
Geographic Information System (GIS) to monitor trees in conflict with the power grid in Dois&#13;
Irmãos, Campus of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), to be used as a parameter&#13;
in the execution of vegetation management services by power companies. A Geographic&#13;
Information System (GIS), aerial photogrammetric survey using drones, floristic survey of the&#13;
analyzed area and processing of georeferenced images using specific software were used. The&#13;
main results obtained were the characterization and management of information in an&#13;
application modeling for the management of the activities necessary to minimize the effects of&#13;
vegetation on the existing electrical grid. The developed application modeling will be made&#13;
available to electric power companies, aiming to optimize the management of the electrical&#13;
grid

<title>Selo verde para automóveis com tecnologias sustentáveis: uma proposta de certificação ambiental</title>
<link>https://repositorio.ifpe.edu.br/xmlui/handle/123456789/2146</link>
<description>Selo verde para automóveis com tecnologias sustentáveis: uma proposta de certificação ambiental
The emphasis on the automotive segment deserves to be highlighted not only in Brazil, but&#13;
also in all countries around the world, especially in view of the effects of climate change,&#13;
which are making society rethink current production and consumption models. Even with the&#13;
presence of the National Energy Conservation Label as the main information tool for&#13;
automobile consumers in Brazil, regarding data related to energy efficiency, autonomy and&#13;
CO2 emissions, it was observed that most consumers do not have direct access to information&#13;
about environmentally valuable embedded technologies present in automobiles, based on their&#13;
visual elements. Therefore, the objective of this study was to develop an environmental&#13;
certification model that demonstrates to the consumer the compliance of sustainable&#13;
automotive technologies in new automobiles sold in the country, through the creation of the&#13;
technical product: Green Seal Sustainable Technologies. The research, exploratory and&#13;
descriptive, integrated qualitative and quantitative methods, with an emphasis on the use of&#13;
the Delphi Technique as a methodology for assessing sustainability. The study involved two&#13;
groups of automotive market experts, totaling a sample of 50 participants, 39 consumers and&#13;
11 car dealers. This technique is capable of presenting a range of 6 to 305 experts dedicated to&#13;
analyzing complex situations through the application of questionnaires applied periodically,&#13;
until a convergence of the responses of the subjects surveyed and a level of consensus&#13;
appropriate to represent the total agreement of the group is achieved. The results&#13;
demonstrated a pent-up demand from part of society represented by experts regarding the&#13;
availability of cars with sustainable technologies in car dealerships. In addition, it was&#13;
observed that the expectation of 69.2% of the consumers surveyed regarding sustainable&#13;
information on cars is directly linked to the use of a green seal that demonstrates the&#13;
sustainability of the car. To distinguish a car as more sustainable for the consumer and&#13;
increase the attractiveness of these vehicles in Brazil, 63.6% of car dealers consider marketing&#13;
campaigns focused on sustainability and the improvement in the identification of sustainable&#13;
technologies to be essential. For these and other reasons, the environmental certification&#13;
proposal presented as a technical product in this study became viable. The main certification&#13;
criteria defined include: the energy source used in the automobile, the energy consumption&#13;
per kilometer driven, the emissions classification within the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling&#13;
Program, the number of national parts incorporated into the automobile, and the indicators&#13;
related to consumer expectations regarding innovations and sustainable technologies in&#13;
automobiles, as highlighted by experts during the Delphi panel. These include hybrid and&#13;
electric automobiles, the use of parts made from recyclable or renewable materials, the Start-&#13;
Stop system, and engines with Downsizing technology. Therefore, new certified automobile&#13;
and light commercial vehicle models will be able to use a green seal with different levels of&#13;
sustainability, which makes it easier for consumers to identify them as products that meet&#13;
superior, high, important, or adequate environmental standards according to the analysis of&#13;
certifying bodies accredited by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality, and Technology.&#13;
This initiative reinforces the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda by&#13;
proposing improvements for the automotive sector, benefiting both society and the&#13;
environment

<title>Gestão participativa em reserva de floresta urbana: um estudo da Mata do Passarinho, município de Olinda, Pernambuco, Brasil</title>
<link>https://repositorio.ifpe.edu.br/xmlui/handle/123456789/2101</link>
<description>Gestão participativa em reserva de floresta urbana: um estudo da Mata do Passarinho, município de Olinda, Pernambuco, Brasil
The theme of participatory management in urban forest reserves is relevant and important to&#13;
achieving the goals of the Urban Development Goals, specifically: SDG 11 - Sustainable&#13;
Cities and Communities, SDG 13 - Climate Action, SDG 15 - Life on Land, SDG 16 - Peace,&#13;
Justice and Strong Institutions and SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals. The Mata do&#13;
Passarinho Urban Forest Reserve (FURB) located in the municipality of Olinda, Pernambuco,&#13;
is a conservation unit categorized within the sustainable use management group, through the&#13;
State System of Conservation Units (SEUC), State Law No. 13,787, of June 2009. This&#13;
research aims to analyze the participatory management process in urban conservation units,&#13;
&#13;
with the Mata do Passarinho FURB as the object of study, and sought to characterize socio-&#13;
environmental conflicts, identify the main actors involved, recognize local socio-&#13;
environmental governance and propose guidelines to improve participatory management. To&#13;
&#13;
this end, it presents as methodological procedures used the collection of secondary data based&#13;
on bibliographic and documentary research, as well as the collection of primary data with field&#13;
observation and informal conversations with those involved in the management process of the&#13;
conservation unit. The results indicate that participatory management faces important&#13;
challenges, such as community engagement and the alignment of public policies with local&#13;
needs. It is concluded that the integration between the different actors, combined with&#13;
environmental education strategies, can contribute significantly to the conservation and&#13;
sustainability of Mata do Passarinho
