The DNA extraction from strawberries was employed as an experimental tool to facilitate understanding of theoretical concepts related to DNA and heredity. The research adopted a qualitative approach, divided into three stages: theoretical introduction, practical activity, and reflective discussion. The results indicated that the experimental practice significantly increased student engagement and comprehension of the concepts, fostering more meaningful learning. The collaborative activity enhanced interpersonal skills, such as teamwork. Students reported a greater ease in understanding the importance of DNA in molecular biology and genetic transmission. It is concluded that the use of active methodologies, integrating experimental practices, is an effective strategy for improving the teaching of genetics. Due to its abundance, researchers have been taking advantage of this biomass for numerous applications, such as energy and environmental sustainability. The work aims to provide an opportunity to discuss energy conversions, explaining the types of energy involved in the process, the need to feed the system and the efficiency in energy use, thus promoting an awareness of the rational use of energy and a discussion about various types of energy conversion in a common system in the student's daily life. The methodology used here is based on an investigative proposal in the analysis of obtaining the biofuel based on sugarcane and the generation of energy with sugarcane bagasse. This investigation will be developed at Colégio Municipal Adauto Caricio - Belém de Maria - PE, in the 9th Year of Elementary School II. The research presented in this work was developed using the bibliographic study procedures, with data collection by the bibliometric technique. According to the results found in this study, BCA can be used in various applications such as adsorbent, ion exchange resin, briquettes, ceramics, concrete, cement and polymeric composites.
