Aspectos e Impactos Ambientais de Obras de Infraestrutura do Aeroporto Internacional do Recife – Pernambuco – Brasil
The capacity of the Brazilian airport infrastructure is undergoing expansion through the
National Civil Aviation Agency's (ANAC) concession program, in response to a lack of
government investments in recent decades. The Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre
International Airport is currently undergoing renovations and expansions to accommodate
projected passenger growth in the coming years. This study aims to analyze the environmental
aspects and impacts associated with the implementation of infrastructure projects for the
airport's renovation and expansion. To achieve this goal, we identified environmental aspects
and impacts using a modified cause-and-effect matrix based on the Degani (2003) framework
for both the planning and construction phases. We assessed the inventoried environmental
impacts using Conesa (2010) methodology. Additionally, we evaluated compliance with
current environmental regulations in Brazil through a checklist. Furthermore, we gauged the
relevance of 97 environmental management indicators, grouped into 8 categories adapted from
Global Reporting Initiative standards, by consulting experts through a structured questionnaire,
following the Delphi Panel method and Likert scale (1932) for measuring relevance. Our
findings reveal the presence of environmental aspects and impacts in both project phases, with
a predominance of moderate adverse environmental impacts across abiotic, biotic, and
anthropic receptor domains. In terms of regulatory compliance, our study confirms adherence
to current Brazilian environmental laws. We also propose monitoring 30 environmental
management indicators for airport projects, along with their prioritization. Our data analysis
demonstrates that the method employed for prioritizing indicators associated with the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda enhances the identification of
environmental aspects and impacts and contributes to mitigating adverse environmental effects.
Furthermore, the Brazilian airport infrastructure concession program offers multifaceted
benefits and the suggested list of indicators serves as a valuable tool for advancing several of
the SDGs outlined by the United Nations in 2015

Diretrizes para o planejamento ambiental: uma construção para a microbacia hidrográfica de Apipucos, Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil.
Environmental planning is fundamental in facing the extreme events of climate change and the transformations arising from human actions, which increasingly influence changes in the urban landscape. The goals of sustainable development, in particular SDG 11, sustainable cities, and communities, contribute to achieving urban sustainability, with the preservation of the natural environment and, consequently, ecosystem services. Faced with such threats, planning cities in the light of sustainability is the primary condition for overcoming the urban crisis. In the meantime, the present research sought to analyze the landscape of the Apipucos hydrographic micro basin, Recife, Pernambuco, based on its sustainability, to point out guidelines for environmental planning, using as a strategy the combination of research techniques from physical and geographical geography. of the social sciences. The study area, Micro basin of the Apipucos, Recife, is in the northwest zone of Recife, with high population density and fragments of protected areas. Applied research that had field incursions and bibliographic survey. The hierarchy of physical-environmental layers and the spread of irregular occupations in vulnerable areas and susceptible to natural disasters were observed, presenting conflicting relationships between social interests and environmental protection. The relationship between the active agents, normative instruments, and institutions, demonstrated the existence of policies, plans and programs developed with relevant observance of environmental planning, however lacking articulation, such as the Master Plan for the City of Recife. There is an urgent need to connect environmental planning to the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, particularly SDGs 11 and 13, based on governance, dissemination of knowledge, generation of jobs and income and livability. Finally, it is recommended to introduce guidelines for environmental planning with actions and those responsible.

Mulheres, ambiente e conflitos socioambientais: tecendo um diálogo com a história ambiental de Pernambuco
Society today is suffering from a civilizing crisis that increasingly highlights the need to break
with current development paradigms. This crisis manifests itself in the micro and macro field
of action, whether in the intellectual, social, political, environmental, cultural spheres; all
which stem from a larger crisis: the crisis of the neoliberal capitalist system of modernity. The
product of these relations, for Latinoamérica, is the pattern of economic exploitation by the
Nordic countries, the institutionalized expression of a patriarchal and colonial society, in
addition to a series of socio-environmental injustices suffered by the countries of the global
south, which fall more intensely on life. of the women. Considering historical records as a
fundamental instrument for observing a given society (in its society-society and society-
nature relations), as well as the culture of silencing and invisibility of women's voices and
contexts, this work aimed to characterize the context of socioenvironmental struggle in
Pernambuco from the perspective of women - understanding the term as the individual's own
expression in society, therefore not referring to biological sex. The methodology used in this
research was based on the case study and interviews with a perspective approach, in which 13
interlocutors participated. The interviewed women present a leadership profile in their
activities, whether in social movements, traditional, original, grassroots communities,
universities, and research institutions, as well as from the management structures of the public
power. The period of coverage of the reports and information organized in this work
corresponded to the period from 1980 to 2019, without the intention, however, to exhaust all
the events of these years. As a result, it was possible to observe how the socio-environmental
contexts of Pernambuco are felt and experienced from the perspectives of women,
highlighting valuable information for visualizing the dynamics and processes of socio-
environmental resistance in the state of Pernambuco. The interference of the type of
environment in cultures (which includes the economy, social and political dynamics, etc.), a
broader and more integrated conception of the environment and its relationship with people's
quality of life, the position of front of women in socio-environmental struggles (in political
and domestic spaces), the relations between theory and practice between the state, modern
science and social movements in the face of socio-environmental contexts, and the
importance of popular organization and women in resistance processes are treated as main
results. From this information and perspectives, some guidelines were mentioned in order to
build a more just and sustainable society for Pernambuco. Finally, it was possible to perceive
the number of strategies that are lost when ignoring the experiences of women, both in the
sense that they are the most vulnerable point in relation to social and environmental injustices
- and that is why they live and feel these contexts differently -, as well as in the power of these
wisdoms in building a more critical, fair, and sustainable society. The approach also
emphasized the need to incorporate the experiences of other women, from other perspectives,
for an even broader view, pointing to the possibility of a theme for later work.

Aspectos ambientais na agricultura familiar no Assentamento Concórdia, São Lourenço da Mata, PE
The misuse of pesticides is identified as a risk factor for human and environmental health, the
inappropriate use of which is one of the main factors that generate degrading actions. Public
health in the Brazilian rural environment is a broad field of study that enables the construction
of socio-environmental perspectives and especially the evident need to raise awareness of the
agroecological productive chain and the insertion of awareness about the use of pesticides in
rural areas on an agroecological scale. The present work sought to evaluate the levels of
environmental contamination caused by the use of pesticides in the region with the highest
production of leafy vegetables in the State of Pernambuco, focusing on proving the non-use of
pesticides aimed at food safety in food production in the Concórdia settlement. . The
objectives of this work were the following: to evaluate the presence of pesticides in specimen
of sweet potato, lettuce and cucumber. Evaluate the presence of pesticides in a soil sample
from planting sweet potatoes, lettuce and cucumber and evaluate the microbiological quality
of the water in the settlement. The study site was the Concórdia settlement, located in the
municipality of São Lourenço da Mata - PE. The methodology adopted for the detection of
pesticides was the Multiresidue Method, which determined approximately 510 active
principles for each sample of soil or leafy vegetables. A total of 6 vegetable and soil samples
were the results, as well as the water samples for the microbiological consumption pattern
determined by the Quantitative Assay of Escherichia coli by the NMP method Quanti-
tray/2000 Idexx ®) using Colilert 18 - Enzyme Substrate Coliform Test. No active ingredients
for pesticides were found in the soil and vegetables. In the water there was the presence of
total coliforms. This scenario reflects the lack of dissemination of the appropriate
environmental technique for the use of water resources in the settlement. In this way, two
booklets, product of this work, have the function, from the results, to guide through reading
and understanding the good practices of food production and use of water resources for the
reality of the dimension of the environment, aiming at food security and environmental
development make rural settlement
