The main objective of this article is to analyze the causes and consequences of the pollution of the Capibaribe River in the municipality of Limoeiro-PE, resulting from the urbanization process. River water is an indispensable natural resource for the survival of human beings, however, over the years, mainly due to the urbanization process without adequate planning, it has contributed to causing several negative impacts around the river course. The research results were achieved through the following methodological procedures: field research, IBGE data collection, photographic records, analysis of water quality tests. The research showed that the Capibaribe river is attacked by anthropic actions, complicating the existing life in the river and its surroundings. The main factors of the river's degradation process are: domestic sewage; industrial activities; deforestation of riparian forest, improper disposal of solid waste, presence of baronesses in the riverbed, which is considered a bioindicator of water pollution, change in water color in some periods of the year due to the eutrophication process, reporting to the self-contamination index by: phosphorus, nitrate and the presence of coliforms, contextualizing this scenario.

This article aims to emphasize that every landscape has a context and that the way&#13;
society lives and the relationship established with nature must be considered. Starting from the study of&#13;
the analysis of the perception of students of the EJA modality, at the Mendo Sampaio High School&#13;
Reference School, located in the municipality of Catende-PE. The research was carried out during the&#13;
supervised internship IV, teaching about this category required theoretical and empirical knowledge,&#13;
based on the selection of some authors who bring reflections on the teaching of Geography. After the&#13;
activities were applied and discussed, the students were able to understand the landscape category,&#13;
showing how dynamic it can be and the appreciation of understanding the place where we live. The&#13;
landscape also promotes playful learning, which focuses on the autonomy of students and everyone&#13;
involved.

This paper aims to analyze the contextualization of socio-environmental risks in Geography teaching, in the municipality of Jacuípe - AL. To this end, the approach to this theme in the teaching materials adopted in Geography classes was investigated. In order to understand the perspectives of teacher and student pedagogical praxis in relation to urban environmental risks, forms were applied via Google Forms, with the hypothetical deductive method adopted for the investigation. The results showed that the teaching of Geography related to the local problems of Jacuípe/AL is not approached in an integral way, as there are deficits in the didactic material and in the understanding of students and teachers.  Finally, we conclude that there is a need for continuing education that contextualizes the problems experienced by the school community, especially in the teaching of Geography, in order to raise awareness among citizens of environmental issues.

Emergency remote teaching leads to a new approach between teachers and students, with non-presential classes and the use of networked technological resources. This work aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers and how they developed the non-presential classes in the process of adaptation to remote learning; analyze the use of technologies as pedagogical support and understand the possible differences existing in the emergency remote teaching process between the school in the rural Municipal Manoel Marques da Silva, and the Otaviano Basílio Heráclio do Rêgo Municipal School, in the urban area, in the city of Limoeiro PE. A bibliographical research, elaboration and application of a questionnaire with teachers of the mentioned schools of the municipal public net were used. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel® 2016 software. The results presented were: 15% of teachers rated their teaching practice as difficult and very difficult; while 84.5% did not present great difficulties. It was observed that, in the role of remote education, 40% of respondents in rural areas produce their videos, compared to 6% of teachers in urban schools. The WhatsApp application computed 100% usage among those surveyed in remote classes. Digital devices and&#13;
internet access were paid for by the professors. It is concluded that, the teachers surveyed declared abilities to the remote model, they renew and adapt teaching possibilities being essential in this process.
