<summary type="text">Endividamento e desigualdade regional: a geografia da dívida no Brasil a partir de dados históricos do Banco Central do Brasil.
This study analyzes the indebtedness of Brazilian families between 2020 and 2024, a &#13;
period marked by the economic shock caused mainly by the COVID-19 pandemic &#13;
and the subsequent recovery of the Brazilian economy. The objective of the study is &#13;
to investigate the effects of the pandemic on household debt, using a regional, &#13;
income, and debt-level breakdown of the Brazilian population. The approach involves &#13;
using descriptive and qualitative research to analyze results and perceptions on the &#13;
topic, with the support of public data from the Credit Information System (SCR) &#13;
provided by the Central Bank of Brazil, to assess how the numbers reflect this issue. &#13;
The results reinforced the hypothesis that debt is characterized by inequalities and &#13;
that its impact is more severe on the most vulnerable segments of the population, &#13;
since the North and Northeast regions of the country concentrate the highest levels &#13;
of indebtedness and have experienced a stable increase in default rates for several &#13;
years, reflecting the financial inability to meet obligations. By making this result &#13;
explicit, the present study seeks to contribute to the understanding of indebtedness &#13;
as a complex and unequal phenomenon, proposing reflections for the formulation of &#13;
strategies and public policies regarding more inclusive and socially oriented financial &#13;
education.

Financial education is necessary in the lives and formation of young people, and its absence can lead to serious consequences, such as excessive indebtedness and impulsive consumption. This study aims to gather information about the level of awareness among students at the public school Maria do Céu Bandeira regarding certain aspects of financial education, seeking to assess their perception of topics such as interest, debt, savings, indebtedness, and investment through a questionnaire administered. The questions were developed based on the intended objectives, and the data collection was carried out through a digital questionnaire created using google Forms and subsequently sent to the students ‘study group. With the information and data analysis, it is possible to create tables and graphs the questions addressed, allowing the calculation of students` accuracy percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

Considering that debt causes various financial disorders and can affect interpersonal &#13;
relationships, this work used qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to evaluate how &#13;
financial variables interconnect to impact, or not, family debt. The qualitative analysis was &#13;
carried out by applying a questionnaire with socioeconomic questions to capture the &#13;
respondent's perception regarding financial education. The quantitative part used canonical &#13;
correlation to investigate the relationship between the variables of interest. The results show &#13;
that financial education is cited by the majority of respondents as a viable instrument for &#13;
financial planning. In relation to the canonical correlation model, it was observed, firstly, that &#13;
the correlations between the variables are fragile, therefore, there is little influence between the &#13;
variables, however, the canonical correlation shows the contribution of one variable over others.

This paper presents the continuous compounding financial regime and applies it to the principal classical survival functions (de Moivre, Gompertz–Makeham, exponential, and Weibull). To this end, it develops the underlying theory through a bibliographic review, starting from introductory concepts like simple interest, compound interest, proportional rates, equivalent rates, nominal and effective interest rates, to build the mathematical foundations for instantaneous, or continuous, interest rates and the corresponding continuous compounding regime. It first presents basic and general notions of these models, followed by an exploration of their specific characteristics and their relation to continuous compounding. Notably, the models addressed offer theoretical descriptions of behaviors, such as population mortality or cumulative functions.
