Perspectivas de docentes da área de Ciências da Natureza e suas Tecnologias sobre a inclusão de estudantes com deficiência

Abstract

The present work aimed to analyze the perspectives of teachers in the Area of Natural Sciences and its Technologies on the inclusion of Students with Disabilities. We seek to identify possibilities and challenges inherent to the educational process of these students, as well as understanding the historical context of the advances achieved so far and also reflect on what still needs to be done to effectively offer the teaching and learning process inclusive of students with disabilities in the state education system. In attention to the objective of the study, a qualitative research was carried out through the exploratory method, and for data collection, mixed questionnaires were applied, through Google forms, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic context, to research participants: teachers and members of the management team of each researched school. According to the data found, the lack of structure, knowledge and time for improvement, planning and production of adapted teaching materials, among others, are pointed out as difficulties by the participants in the process of inclusion of Students with Disabilities, because for an effective teaching and learning process for students with disabilities, is important that the school is structurally prepared and that the professionals working in it have continuous and systematic training.
