Projeção de rota cicloturística na zona da mata sul de Pernambuco como forma de fomento e regionalização do turismo

Abstract

Cycling tourism is a tourist activity performed with bicycles, which can have advantages in health and economy, and can be used as a tool to decentralize tourism or be an important factor in equalizing seasonal periods. The main objective of this work is to know the practices and characteristics of cycling tourism in Pernambuco and to propose a cycle tourism route in the Zona da Mata Sul of the state, which has the second lowest rate of bicycle incidents. Thus, forms were used to understand: the profile of the state's cycletourist, what they consider important in a route; interview specialists to define implementation criteria and prioritize them. For this, we used the method “Analytic Hierarchy Process” - AHP, as it helps in decision making. The results showed that of the 24 municipalities of the studied region, 7 of them have the best conditions for the implementation of a route, with great chances of consolidation for the natural, cultural and infrastructure riches they possess. Thus, it was possible to project 3 cycletouristic routes in the region that may help to boost the local economy, generating jobs, work and income for the resident population.
