Sistema de tratamento de esgoto com o emprego da bacia de evapotranspiração e wetland construído

Abstract

The rapidity of the phenomenon of urbanization in recent decades in Brazil has brought with it the consequences of urban disorder. Due to this tendency, the infrastructure elements are destined primarily to central areas of the cities, causing low rates of attendance to the periurban and rural communities in addition to providing environmental impacts. The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of implementing an alternative sanitary sewage system in the Engelh Bulhões I community, located in the Bulhões neighborhood, in the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, State of Pernambuco. The proposed system consisted of special grease box, Evapotranspiration Basin (BET) and Built Wetlands (WC). The study methodology was centered on NBR 8160/1999 - Building sewer systems - Design and execution; in NBR 7229/1993 - Design, construction and operation of septic tank systems, as well as in the review of the scientific literature. In this way, the sizing of the system was performed considering the low standard population. The proposed system can be completed approximately 60 days and costs an average total cost of R $ 110,000.00, representing a viable alternative for the treatment of domestic effluents in peripheral communities and without a sewage collection network.
